Jamal Murray Game Winner

Denver Nuggets Steal Game 2 from Lakers on Murray's Game-Winning Shot

Murray Struggles Early, But Comes Up Big When It Counts

Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray had a rough night shooting the ball, but he came up big when it mattered most, hitting a game-winning shot as time expired to give the Nuggets a 1-1 tie in their Western Conference semifinal series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Murray was just 3-of-16 from the field through three quarters, but he hit a key jumper to tie the game with 1:09 remaining in the fourth quarter. He then made a steal on Lakers star LeBron James with just seconds left on the clock and drove to the basket for the game-winning layup.

"I just wanted to make a play for my team," Murray said. "I knew I hadn't been shooting the ball well, but I just stayed confident and kept fighting. I'm glad I was able to come through for my teammates and get us this win."

The Nuggets will now head back to Denver for Games 3 and 4 of the series. They will need Murray to continue to play well if they want to take a commanding lead in the series.
