Murray's Buzzer-Beater Caps 20-Point Comeback
Denver Nuggets Defeat Los Angeles Lakers
Denver, Colo. - Jamal Murray played the hero for the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, sinking a 15-foot buzzer-beating jumper over Anthony Davis to give the Nuggets a 115-113 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Nuggets trailed by 20 points in the second half, but Murray sparked a furious rally with a series of clutch shots. Murray finished the game with 30 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter.
Nikola Jokic also had a big night for the Nuggets, finishing with 25 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists. Will Barton added 18 points and Aaron Gordon had 16 points off the bench.
Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 30 points and 23 rebounds, but it was not enough to overcome Murray's heroics.
The Nuggets (40-27) now have a three-game lead over the Utah Jazz for the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference. The Lakers (37-30) are now in seventh place, a half-game behind the Dallas Mavericks.
